DFS NBA Picks (November 10, 2016)

Giannis Antetokounmpo
PG:
Giannis Antetokounmpo - Milwaukee Bucks: Antetokounmpo had his worst game of the season against Dallas on Sunday, but the whole team scored just 75 points in the rough game. Gianni should have some great production against the Pelicans tonight.

SG:
Klay Thompson - Golden State Warriors: Thompson is on a roll right now, scoring more than 20 points in his last two games.

SF:
Jimmy Butler - Chicago Bulls: Butler put up a shocking 39 points last night. He gets an easy matchup against the Heat tonight.

PF:

Drayman Green - Golden State Warriors: Green has only been under 40 twice in eight games, and hasn’t gone lower than 35.

C:
Hassan Whiteside - Miami Heat: After being crushed by the Thunder on Monday, Whiteside gets a good matchup tonight against the Chicago Bulls.

DFS NBA Picks (November 8, 2016)

Kyrie Irving
PG:
Kyrie Irving - Cleveland Cavaliers: Irving faces the Hawks tonight, who this season have given up plenty of fantasy points to opposing PG's. Irving is averaging 23 points per game in six games played this season.

SG:
Sean Kilpatrick - Brooklyn Nets: Kilpatrick is earning tons of fantasy points at an extremely low salary. A must take for tonight.

SF
Harrison Barnes - Dallas Mavericks: In his last game, Barnes recorded 34 points (on 26 shots), 8 rebounds, 2 assists and 2 steals.

PF:

Anthony Davis - New Orleans Pelicans: In his last game, Davis scored 33 points last night and recorded in 13 rebounds.

DFS NBA Picks (November 7, 2016)

James Harden
PG:
James Harden - Houston Rockets: You can argue that Russell Westbrook would be the better pick here, but you can save a little cash on Harden and get a pick that is very close to just as good in value.

SG:
George Hill - Utah Jazz: Hill had a rough game against the Spurs recently, but he also only played 28 minutes. He should play more against the 76ers tonight.

SF:

Gordon Hayward - Utah Jazz:
Hayward struggled a bit with his shot (6-17 from the floor) last night in his season debut, but he sank all 14 of his free throws.

PF:

Drayman Green - Golden State Warriors: Green is such a positive defensive power when he's on the field. He's been averaging 10.3 points per game in 2016-17.

C:

Hasan Whiteside - Miami Heat:  Whiteside has recorded a double-double in all five games he'splayed in this season so far, and has 13 blocks already on the season.

Mini-Analysis: Derrick Rose traded to the Knicks

"Pro Court Report" Fantasy Basketball Report

Derrick Rose was reportedly traded to the Knicks on
Wednesday.
The Chicago Bulls sent Rose, Justin Holiday and a 2017 second-round draft pick to the New York Knicks in exchange for big man Robin Lopez and point guards Jerian Grant and Jose Calderon.

The trade reportedly happened on Wednesday.

But Rose has not been playing as well since his knee issues a couple of seasons ago. However, the Knicks have been looking for someone to help Carmelo Anthony operate the team's offense, and Rose can definitely do that if he stays healthy.

Chris Broussard of ESPN spoke to a source "close to Rose," who said the point guard is excited about playing for the Knicks. "His 1st choice was New York (if traded)," the source told Broussard. "He wants the spotlight."

Rose posted a 13.5 player-efficiency rating in 66 games with the Bulls in 2015-16.

Finding the best 'draft wish' for the Sixers; draft Simmons, but trade Okafor?

Should the Sixers trade Jahlil Okafor?
Chris Towers of CBSSports.com recently wrote about draft needs for the first 14 picks in the 2016 NBA Draft.

The first overall pick, which will be made by the Philadelphia 76ers is an interesting one because of what Towers has written as what he feels the Sixers should do.

Below is his summary of the Sixers. Read their Draft night wish and let us know if you find that a bit interesting. Obviously Jahlil Okafor trade rumors have been heating up, however.

Philadelphia 76ers
Draft night wish: Draft Ben Simmons; trade Nerlens Noel OR Jahlil Okafor for a point guard

The 76ers are in a super interesting spot. After years of doing pretty much everything they could to be among the worst teams in the league, they are seemingly done accumulating assets and ready to move into the actual team-building phase of things. That means they have to start consolidating their assets, especially in the frontcourt, where they could have as many as five recent lottery picks heading into next season, including overseas import Dario Saric and Joel Embiid, the "limping, Dream-Shaking, purely theoretical embodiment of The Process. They could go into the season with all five on the roster, using Simmons at times as a small forward and working Embiid in slowly, limiting his minutes as he works his way back from multiple foot injuries.

And there's also growing evidence that Dario Saric may not come over to the 76ers this season; combined with a likely minutes limit for Embiid, and the frontcourt logjam may not be as bad as it seems right now. Still, Noel and Okafor didn't work together all that well, and at some point you have to start building the rest of the roster. If reports are to be believed, Bryan Colangelo's interest in Jeff Teague suggests that he is aware of this fact. If the 76ers move one of their prized young bigs for a real point guard, this roster starts to make a lot more sense; as we saw with Ish Smith last season, a competent ballhandler opens up a lot of opportunities here.

DFS NBA Preview: Preview of Tuesdays, plus one key injury

"Pro Court Report" Fantasy Basketball Report
Isaiah Thomas is a good DFS NBA pick in the point
guard position on Tuesday.
The 2016 NBA Playoffs are in full swing, as the first round is about to come to a close.

There are two games planned for Tuesday, those two games are between the Toronto Raptors and the visiting Indiana Pacers, and the Atlanta Hawks and the visiting Boston Celtics.

Here is some basic DFS fantasy basketball info on those games, and on some general DFS NBA information you should know.

Key Injury: Stephen Curry - PG - Golden State Warriors: Curry's injury in the first round against the Houston Rockets will definitely hurt the Warriors if they want to repeat as NBA champions this season. There is no doubt that Curry is one of the best guards in the NBA, possibly even one of the best players the league has ever seen, so his injury will definitely hurt the Warriors if he is out for an extended period of time.

Tonight's Previews:
Pacers @ Hawks: Even though Pacers forward Paul George has been putting up less points every game he plays, a lot of those games the Pacers have been playing less hard because the play is always in their favor. Before that, George was a monster putting up tons of threes, so George makes for a good forward pick tonight assuming the Pacers get more of a challenge tonight.

Celtics @ Hawks: Celtics point guard Isaiah Thomas will definitely be looking to put up some shots and will definitely be looking to get some points and fantasy value tonight, which makes him a good pick in the point guard position. Also, his DFS price is worth the pick considering how low it is.

DFS NBA Picks: April 8, 2016

"Pro Court Report" Fantasy Basketball Report
Austin Rivers
PG:
Austin Rivers-Los Angeles Clippers:
Rivrs has incredible value and is playing over 40 minutes a game recently. The benching of many of the Clippers' important players has been getting Rivers more playing time, and he surely has been taking advantage of that time.

SG:
Wesley Matthews/Devin Harris-Dallas Mavericks: The reason we picked both Matthews and Harris is because both have been playing plenty of minutes on an altered Mavericks back court, and have been helping a Mavericks team who surely has been controlling its own playoff fate.

SF:
Giannis Antetokounmpo-Milwaukee Bucks: Antetokounmpo is a good option for tonight because he is cheap and has good value.

PF:
Derrick Williams-New York Knicks: Williams' fantasy production has been amazing considering he plays for a Knicks team that in terms of fantasy is a serious issue. His production has been good even through a recent decrease in playing time and is a great matchup against the 76ers tonight.

C:
Cole Aldrich-Los Angeles Clippers: Aldrich is really the only center option when he plays because when it comes to the final games of the season, picking players in NBA DFS can be hard, but Aldrich is cheap and has good production, which is unlike most centers.

DFS NBA Picks: April 5, 2016

"Pro Court Report" Fantasy Basketball Report

SG:
Jimmy Butler-Chicago Bulls: Butler has at least 20 points in his last three games.

SF:

SF:
Chandler Parsons-Dallas Mavericks: Parsons posted a double-double with 27 points and 10 boards against the Pacers.

PF:
Anthony Davis-New Orleans Pelicans: Davis is one of the best power forwards in the NBA currently and his production in terms of fantasy points shows it. The only problem is that his DFS price is expensive, so be wise with who you choose along with Davis.

C:
Brook Lopez-Brooklyn Nets: Lopez gets an easy matchup against the struggling Knicks tonight. The surprising thing is, the Nets are struggling as well. The only difference here is that the Knicks have plenty of injuries that Lopez should be able to take advantage of.

Thursday, March 31, 2016

DFS NBA Picks: March 31, 2016

PG:
Russell Westbrook-Oklahoma City Thunder: Westbrook has been absolutely hot this month with seven triple doubles in the month. Be careful, however, as his DFS price is expensive.

SG:
Jimmy Butler-Chicago Bulls: Butler's biggest game of the season so far came against the Rockets, where he had 26 points, 11 boards and six rebounds. Tonight, he faces the Rockets again.

SF:
LeBron James-Cleveland Cavaliers: There is no doubt that James is one of the best small forwards in the NBA currently, so he would be a great pick for you only if you don't mind his high DFS price.

PF:
Kevin Love-Cleveland Cavaliers: Love's production can be inconsistent at times, but he should have a great game tonight against the struggling Nets.

C:
Pau Gasol-Chicago Bulls: Gasol has a fantastic game against the Rockets earlier this season where he recorded 28 points, six assists and 17 rebounds. He faces the Rockets again tonight.

Jose Calderon
PG:
Jose Calderon-New York Knicks: Calderon has been playing fantastic basketball as of late. Facing the struggling Mavericks tonight, Calderon should have another stellar game.

SG:
Khris Middleton-Milwaukee Bucks: Middleton faces the Suns tonight, who are struggling and should allow Middleton to have a boubnce-back kind of game. Middleton's price has dropped recently on DFS due to a string of bad games, but tonight, he should rebound.

SF:
Matt Barnes-Memphis Grizzlies: Tonight, Barnes faces the Nuggets, who this season has not done a good job of defending small forwards like Barnes.

PF:
Kristaps Porzingis-New York Knicks: Porzingis is a must pick tonight because he has been playing his best basketball recently for the Knicks. Porzingis should have another great game against the struggling Dallas Mavericks tonight.

C:
Hassan Whiteside-Miami Heat: Whiteside faces the struggling Lakers tonight, which should be a very easy matchup for the Heat center.

SF:
Robert Covington-Philadelphia 76ers: Covington has has amazing consistency lately, considering the fact that he is known to he inconsistent.

Monday, March 28, 2016

DFS NBA Picks: March 28, 2016

"Pro Court Report" Fantasy Basketball Report

PG:
Shelvin Mack-Utah Jazz: Maybe Mack hasn't done much in his past three games, but he has been playing over 30 minutes a night. With a matchup against the Lakers tonight, expect Mack to improve in terms of fantasy point earnings.

SG:
CJ McCollum-Portland Trail Blazers: McCollum has been breaking out relectly and DFS players surely have seen a spike in his fantasy point earnings. Facing the Kings tonight, McCollum should have another great game.

SF:
Andrew Wiggins Minnesota Timberwolves: Wiggins should bounce back against the Suns after struggling after a recent double-double.

PF:
LaMarcus Aldridge-San Antonio Spurs: Aldridge has been earning plenty of fantasy points recently, especially in his last ten games.

C:
DeAndre Jordan-Los Angeles Clippers: Jordan has a fantastic ability to block shots and get plenty of rebounds. He has seven double-doubles in his past ten games.

Sunday, March 27, 2016

DFS NBA Picks: March 27, 2016

"Pro Court Report" Fantasy Basketball Report
John Wall
PG:
John Wall-Washington Wizards: Wall is facing one of the worst defenses in the NBA, the Lakers. It is important to play someone like Wall today because you know he is going to get some major playing time today. Be careful, however, as Wall's DFS price is quite expensive.

SG:
Wesley Matthews-Dallas Mavericks: Matthews is a good SG pick because he gets plenty of minutes for a very cheap DFS price. He's getting so many minutes because of the injury to Chandler Parsons. He could be a great pick if he plays well when you pick him.

SF:
Otto Porter-Washington Wizards: Porter is a good pick because he gets to play a good amount of minutes and like Wall, gets a good and fairly easy matchup tonight against the Lakers.

PF:
Myles Turner-Indiana Pacers: Turner is a physical power forward who gets a good amount of playing time and has a reasonable DFS price.

C:
Dwight Howard-Houston Rockets: Howard often has inconsistent production when it comes to earning fantasy points, but he had an amazing performance against the Raptors recently and we believe he can bounce back from his recent slump in fantasy point earnings.

Dwayne Wade

Monday, March 21, 2016

DFS NBA Picks: March 21, 2016

"Pro Court Report" Fantasy Basketball Report

PG:
Tyler Ennis - Milwaukee Bucks: Instead of picking a high-salary point guard like Stephen Curry, who can be one of the most, and if not that then the most expensive player on DFS, pick Tyler Ennis of the Milwaukee Bucks. Ennis has played 20+ minutes in three straight games. Last night, he notched six assists to go along with his five points and two steals in the game.

SG:
Zach LaVine - Minnesota Timberwolves: LaVibe ia not the cheapest SG in DFS NBA right now, but he's also not the most expensive, either. LaVine has been playing 38 minutes per game and averaging 18.6 points, 2.8 rebounds, 2.6 assists, and 1.5 steals.

FanDuel Analysis: Spurs' Leonard is one of three good High-Salary SFs for Monday

Courtesy to FanSided for this information.
Kawhi Leonard
Giannis Antetokounmpo-Milwaukee Bucks (8,700): SF is stacked tonight with a lot of great options at the top. It’s impossible to ignore “The Alphabet,” though, given his recent run of production. Antetokounmpo has been playing out of his mind lately with at least 60 fantasy points in three of his last four games and four of his last seven.  He posted 67.4 fantasy points against the Thunder last night on 26 points, 12 rebounds, ten assists, four blocks, and three steals.  He fell just one rebound short of a triple-double on Friday, and he did get one last Monday against Houston when he had 18 points, 16 rebounds, 11 assists, four steals, and 60.7 fantasy points. He has been red hot lately and is in a good matchup against the Bulls tonight.  He has averaged 23.5 points, 8.5 rebounds, 3.5 assists, 2.5 steals, and a block in his two games against Chicago this season, and he’s a great play again tonight even though he’s sure to be a very popular option.∗∗∗∗∗

Kawhi Leonard-San Antonio Spurs (8,600): Another SF option on the rise is Kawhi Leonard of the Spurs who has been outstanding after taking off a few games after the All Star break due to a calf injury.  Kawhi has at least 45 fantasy points in four of his last five games and has averaged 27.6 points, 8.6 rebounds, 3.6 assists, and 1.8 steals over those five games.  He had 24 points, six boards, five assists and three steals in his previous meeting this season with the Pacers and Paul George, and It think he’s lined up for another solid multi-faceted line tonight. ∗∗∗∗

Chandler Parsons-Dallas Mavericks (6,900): Parsons played 39 minutes in the Mavs’ OT loss last night posting an underwhelming 11 points to go with 11 boards and five assists for 29.7 fantasy points. He has at least that many in four of his last five games, but has shown plenty of upside with at least 39 fantasy points in five of his last ten.  He will look to bounce back tonight against the Clippers who he has yet to face this year. ∗∗

Nikola Jokic a good high-value center for Sunday

"Pro Court Report" Staff Report

He may not be the best center in the NBA, but Nikola Jokic had a solid game on Friday, whict could lead to a good Sunday performance.

Jokic had a nice game Friday playing 34 minutes against the Nets and finishing with 15 points, 12 rebounds, four assists, a block, and a steal

Friday, March 4, 2016

Good High-Salary PGs for Friday

"Pro-Court Report" Fantasy Basketball Report

D'Angelo Russell
D'Angelo Russell: Russell will continue to get a ton of time at the point for LA especially with Jordan Clarkson and Lou Williams both dealing with injuries. Williams has scored at least 22 points in four straight games and has over 37 fantasy points in three of those four contests.  He has been dishing out solid assist numbers while adding some boards, so look for him at the cheaper end of the mid-range plays as he faces the Hawks in the late game on ESPN. (FanSided)
Isaiah Thomas

Isaiah Thomas: Thomas looked fully healthy  as the Celtics took down Damian Lillard and the Blazers on Wednesday behind 30 points from IT4. Thomas only had two assists in that contest, so he only ended up with 37.8 fantasy points, but normally he’s good for 6+ assists per night. Tonight, he’ll take on the Knicks struggling backcourt defense who he has averaged 25 points, 7.3 assets, and 5.3 rebounds against in his three games against so far this season. Thomas has taken his game to another level this year, and Boston is hunting the Raptors for the#2 seed as a result. (FanSided)
